The Yonkers Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Committee’s 26th Annual Women of Excellence Luncheon will be held on March 27st at The Fairways at Dunwoodie Golf Club. Networking begins at 11AM, A "Networking Table" will be provided. Please bring brochures and business cards to promote your business. The formal program begins promptly at Noon
Hundreds will gather to congratulate this year’s distinguished winners: Siobhan O'Sullivan & Patricia Brady (Francey Brady's Restaurant) - Entrepreneur Award, Donna McGregor (St. John's Riverside Hospital) - Business Professional Award, Ursula McIntyre (Empire City at Yonkers Raceway) - Above and Beyond Award and Donna Davis (Photographer, Community Advocate) - Thomas J. Caramadre Humanitarian Award. These worthy recipients have all made important contributions that have enriched the business and humanitarian life in the City of Yonkers. The impressive highlights of their successful efforts will be a highlight of this luncheon.
In addition to the honorees, 3 outstanding high schools seniors will be recognized for their accomplishments with a $1000 scholarship in memory of Virginia Eyler, a former Committee member and good friend of the Chamber. This year they are Krystelle Joinville - Riverside High School, Annabella Vallone - Riverside High School and Irisneida Villa-Sanchez - Roosevelt High School. These fine students have achieved academic excellence and display an active role in community service.
The Women in Business Committee will once again sponsored a food drive to support The Food Bank for Westchester. The largest service area for The Food Bank is Yonkers where more than 20 agencies are recipients of food distribution. Luncheon attendees are encouraged to donate generously to this most worthy cause.
