The voice of business in Yonkers since 1893, the Yonkers Chamber of Commerce serves its members and the Yonkers business community at the local, state and national level. The Chamber has brought numerous positive changes on behalf of business, resulting in a vastly improved Yonkers economy.

Networking Opportunities

On the third Tuesday of each month, the Chamber conducts a networking event consisting of a 7:30 AM "Early Bird" Coffee followed by a "meet-everybody" membership meeting with sit-down breakfast. These monthly breakfasts, seminars and programs are designed to provide members with the information needed to improve the bottom line of your business, while providing a friendly atmosphere to make contact with other business people and community leaders. Networking events are regularly addressed by - and offer unique access to - a wide array of business leaders and key public officials. Several times during the year, the Chamber holds All-Networking events with no other business than members "doing business," plus social events such as the regular Golf/Tennis outing (July) and Annual Dinner (September).

Chamber Annual Events

Outstanding events such as the Annual Dinner, the Women in Business Luncheon and the Annual Golf & Tennis Outing bring business community together for fun, encouragement and additional networking opportunities. Meet your fellow business owners in a relaxed and social atmosphere. Rub shoulders with esteemed guest speakers that have included County Executive Rob Astorino, Mayor Spano, Stew Leonard, Jr. and Peter Kelly.

The "Chamber Progress"

The Chamber Newsletter has produces a publication called “Yonkers Progress” focusing on Yonkers Business. This special section is inserted in all Pennysaver papers delivered to Yonkers and selected additional Westchester and Bronx areas for a total circulation of over 45,000. Each issue of the Progress brings fresh ideas on improving your business, keeps you apprised of Member and Chamber activities, and lists new members and highlights community events. It is an excellent vehicle for members to publicize and/or advertise their businesses.

Membership Directory & Buyer's Guide

Containing a wealth of community information and essential phone numbers, this printed directory is the first place to look for goods and services in the Greater Yonkers area. Every Chamber member receives two listings; by business name and by business category. Distributed free throughout Yonkers, and referred to all year round, it is also one advertising opportunity you do not want to miss.

Bid Alert

On a regular basis, the Chamber generates "Bid Alerts" outlining goods and services for which the City of Yonkers may be seeking Requests For Proposal. And, if your business is not a bona fide bidder, the Chamber can offer advice on how to become one.
